Ginger and Mint Cocktail


Fresh ginger  - 2 Table spoons of ginger finely cut
Fresh mint
5 cups of water
1tsp sugar
½ cup of fresh lemon juice

Simmer one cup of water, ginger, lemon juice and sugar.
Add 10 mint leaves to the boiled ginger and allow the flavour to infuse and the liquid to cool.
Pour into a jug and add four cups of water and  grenadines to taste.
Pour into glasses filled with ice.
 Finally, garnish with a sprigs of fresh mint and lime.

Apple Juice Cocktail

Apple Juice With A Twist

4 apples
pint and half of water
Slice of orange
2 table spoon of sugar

Cut the apples into quarter
Bring the water to boil in apan
Add the apples , orange juice and sugar and remove from heat
Give it a good stir, and leave the Apple Juice to sit for 15 minutes
Strain into a jug
Leave the Apple Juice to cool
Decorate your homemade Apple Juice with orange and apple slices.

Non-Alcoholic Margarita

Non-Alcoholic Margarita

Sweet and Sour Mix (you can buy this or make yourself)
Crushed ice
2 table spoons of salt or sugar if you prefer to dip the glass rim into

Make Sweet and Sour Mix for Non-Alcoholic Margarita:
one part water to 2 parts of sugar
You may want to use lukewarm water for this to make the sugar melt.
Add lime juice to your required taste, you want a sweet and sour taste

1: Rub lime juice over the rim of your Margarita glass
2: Turn the glass over and dip it in the salt so the salt goes evenly around the entire rim of glass.
3: In a cocktail shaker add the sweet and sour mix and shake vigorously
4: Place crushed ice in the glass and pour Non-Alcoholic Margarita mixture over it

Use a lime to Garnish!

Add different syrups to non-alcoholic Margaritas to give it a different flavour. Try strawberry or orange syrup. You can also blend the mixture and have a frothy blended Margaritia - delicious!

This is one of my favourite non-alcoholic cocktails , as you can have it hot or cold!

Honey Dream
Serves 2

3 tablespoons of lemon - lime if you prefer
One cup of fresh orange juice
One cup of fresh apple juice
3 table spoons of Honey
If having hot - 2 small slices of ginger.

Cold Version:
Blend the lemon, orange juice, apple and honey together in a cocktail shaker, add crushed ice and shake! Strain the mixture into cocktail glasses, garnish with a lime or cherries on a stick and a slice of orange- just fabulous!

Hot Version:
Make in a small saucepan. The ginger is optional, but it's good if you have a cold or sore throat.

Half a cup of fresh orange juice.
Half a cup of fresh apple juice.
4 Table spoons of Honey.
4 Table spoons of Lemon or Lime.

Pour boiling 1/2 cup of water over the honey, lemon and ginger and stir. Leave to stand for 2 minutes. Remove the Ginger - with a spoon! Add the fresh orange and apple juice. Top up with half a cup of hot water. Serve with a floating slice of lemon. Use cups for these not glasses!!

Cool Homemade Lemonade

1 pint of mineral water
Ice cubes
2 Tablespoons of icing suger
2 lemons, skinned and sliced.
Decorate with orange or lemon or lime slices

Put half a pint of water , the icing sugar and the lemons in the blender for about half a minute. Add the rest of the water and blend again. Fill your glasses with crushed ice and a slice of lemon or lime. Sieve your Homemade Lemonade into 4 large glasses, you may add carbonated water if you wish. Decorate the Homemade Lemonade and serve with a straw.

Enjoy your cool Homemade Lemonade.
